We will be visiting local middle schools in January and February 2018, and will host Family Information Nights on Tuesday, January 30th, and Thursday, February 1st, at 6:30 p.m. In the Delta High School Dining Hall. Applications are DUE on Thursday, February 15th. Applicants will be notified in early March if they are selected in the lottery, and will be provide initial enrollment paperwork. Johnson has served as an Assistant Principal at two schools in Richland, WA and also as Principal at international schools in Venezuela and Russia.

February 2018 100 Deltonians traveled to the Eastern WA Regional Contest at EWU this past Saturday to present their NHD historical research projects. 15 projects and 22 students will move on to the State History Day Finals April 21st!

Many families were welcomed at Chiawana to pick up their Delta student. Students remaining at CHS were returned to Delta at the end of the day, to pick up vehicles or take regular school or transit buses home. We want to send a big THANK YOU to the staff of Chiawana High, as well as Pasco School District, for welcoming us, feeding us, and keeping us safe! After a thorough investigation by Cascade Natural Gas, Pasco Fire Department, and school district personnel, it was determined there is no further cause for concern on the Delta campus. School will resume on Tuesday, 9/6/16, as scheduled. Thank you for your support on this challenging day! We appreciate everyone's commitment to our students' and staff's health and safety.

Students also toured the AREVA site in Richland, WA as well as the Atkins Engineering Laboratory near the WSU TC campus. Health Science Day presenters included: Tri-Cities Cancer Center, Kadlec Regional Medical Center, Tri-Cities Laboratory, Pre-Health Club at WSU TC, Perry Technical Institute, Heritage University, and the Benton-Franklin Health Department. Students also toured the Health Science Building at the CBC Richland Campus. College tours across the state included: University of Washington, Washington State University (Pullman), Eastern Washington University, Whitworth University, University of Idaho and Perry Technical University.
A resolution to designate the Salem-Keizer Public Schools Safety and Risk Management Services as a law enforcement agency received first-reading approval from the Salem-Keizer School Board on Tuesday. The resolution drew negative comments from 13 members of the audience, who said law enforcement status would worsen ethnic divisions in the schools and be contrary to the state equity lens policy, which aims at eventually eliminating inequalities in student performance. September 2017 Delta High School welcomed new and returning Delta students and families at our annual back to school night. Aallyah Wright is a Clarksdale native and a graduate of Delta State University with a degree in journalism with a minor in communications and theater. Before joining Mississippi Today as a Delta-based reporter, Aallyah worked as an intern for the Bolivar Commercial in 2016. She also has worked collaboratively with the Center for Investigative Reporting and Reveal alongside the Delta Arts Alliance on an ongoing interactive community news project that created a platform for stories from Cleveland, Miss., through the lens of history, equality and change titled the Cleveland Yearbook.
For the past 10 years Eric has served the business and educational community by teaching advanced leadership and influence techniques that build psychologically safe environments. He and his team at CivilSchools have developed an evidenced-based bullying prevention curriculum that has been used across the United States as well as in 18 different countries to increase acts of civility.
