The MAC Daphne Guinness collection is “a window into my imagination” according to Daphne Guinness. In case you don’t know who she is, she’s a fashion icon and artist. MAC Cremesheen Glass ($18.50 for 0.09 oz.) sees the launch of four shades as part of the Daphne Guinness collection (due in-stores on December 26th).

Where does one start when reviewing a collection inspired by the artist/designer Daphne Guinness? Stating the collection as being “the window of my imagination”, Daphne and collaborated on this winter collection palette and view it as an extension of her art. Daphne Guinness is best known for her fashion and art collaborations and has truly represented her well in both color and design with this December 26th release. There are so many beautiful hues in this collection that it might take a bit more time than usual to read the collection list! Note: first we saw Ombre in hair color, then nails, now, here in the Ombre blush!

• Approaching Storm is a deep pink rose/red/brown color. Warp Speed Red Dwarf Approaching Storm Cremesheen Glass Cremesheen Glass Borealis, Narciccus There are four total Cremesheen Glass colors in this collection. The two not shown are Japanese Spring which is a pale dirty pink and Richly Revered which is a deep brown plum. • Borealis is a very pale greyish pink with iridescent sparkles. It’s SUPER pale though basically invisible.

By on • ( ) Daphne Guinness for MAC: Product Photos, Swatches and Reviews Well hello there! Thank you for waiting patiently as I took pictures, redid my layout a little, and got a chance to play with all of these wonderful products!

This is perfect for brightening up dull lip color because the iridescent particles really pick up and reflect light for luscious, glistening lips. Richly Revered is repromoted and appeared in the collection. It is a deep brown plum, a nice fall/winter color. All in all, I still prefer the lipglasses over the Cremesheen Glasses, just because the former last longer on the lips. I do reach out for my cremesheen glasses when I don't feel like wearing tacky lipgloss, but just a nice sheer wash of color on the lips with luscious shine. Pigment: Aurora pigment I have a new favorite pigment- Aurora! It is a pinked taupe frost, and I love MAC's taupe pigments like Coco (I bought a ton of these) and Subtle.

Most of these are crease colors, and the one that can pass for a lid or even highlight color is useless (Stratus). I am liking the other three colors, though, which are great for smoky eye looks. All in all, I am on the fence about this product.

Azalea Blossom is a light cool pink, and Vintage Grape is a mid-tone violet pink. The good thing about blush ombres is that there are different shades of coordinating color in the same compact, so you can either use just one of those shades, or swirl and blend them together for a different effect. Vintage Grape doesn't look bruised on me, even though the darkest shade looks scary in the compact. It gives a nice pinky-plum shade on the cheeks. Azalea Blossom is your classic pink blush.

Red Dwarf is my favorite; the name is just amazing. It looks dark in the tube, but it morphs into a very just-bitten reddish pink shade that is gorgeous. Great for the holidays. Seasoned Plum is a nice mid-tone lavender that I like to pair with Narcissus Cremesheen Glass. This is great with pinks, berries, rose and plum makeup colors. Approaching Storm looks scary dark in the tube, but it is actually pretty wearable. Love how it looks great layered over Red Dwarf.

All in all, I am liking this new batch of Pro Longwear Lipcremes. They glide really well on the lips, they stay matte and intact almost the entire day, although I do re-apply after every meal. I hope MAC maintains this kind of gentler formula.

I like the fact that they have diminished the size of the eyeshadows (from the original launch In Extra Dimension in April 2012). Of course, they could have diminished the price accordingly, but still, I like the small pans much better because I can depot them and they will fit into my palette. Also: i rarely ever like an eyeshadow as much as to buy a large size, and if I really do, I'll just buy a backup! Here is a swatch of the nail polish, MAC Nail La cquer in Endless Night.

Eyeshadow x4: Interior Life Quad Stratus (satin), Bruised Sky (satin) Interior Life (veluxe pearl), Heather Belles (satin) Stratus (satin), Bruised Sky (satin) Interior Life (veluxe pearl), Heather Belles (satin) Stratus, Bruised Sky Interior Life, Heather Belles, Aurora (far right) Stratus, Bruised Sky Interior Life, Heather Belles Things that I like about Interior Life quad: There are no shadows that are too shimmery. Most of these are satin and one matte. One is a veluxe pearl but it is not frosty or shimmery.

It’s on the sheer side, so to get full coverage, it takes two to three coats. Hyperion: Another cool color, described as a “light grey blue green”. It’s very creamy and has good coverage after two solid coats. This is one of the few cool shades of nail lacquer that I like. Surprisingly, it doesn’t make me look like a washed out zombie like a great deal of blue/green colors do. I think it stands out a lot more than the other two nail lacquers from this collection and is a nice transition from fall/winter to spring colors. Interior Life Eye Shadow Quad.

• Warp Speed is a pale silver color. Looks very futuristic and definitely not very wearable for the average person. • Red Dwarf is a nice pinkish/red color. Would look good on a variety of skin tones I think. • Approaching Storm is a deep pink rose/red/brown color.

Bruised Sky (Satin) is a dusty purple, deeper and more proper-purple than. Interior Life (Veluxe) is a smoky, blued, industrial-grey satin with pretty good pigment. Heather Belles (Satin, ) is a chalky, sheer, near-black satin. There are also three loose pigments ($20). Circa Plum is a repromote (from the and ). It’s a bruisey, red-purple shimmer/frost.

All in all, I am liking this new batch of Pro Longwear Lipcremes. They glide really well on the lips, they stay matte and intact almost the entire day, although I do re-apply after every meal. I hope MAC maintains this kind of gentler formula. I don't know if they reformulated this, all I know is that this particular batch is very gentle on my lips as opposed to the previous releases. Cremesheen Glass: Top to bottom: Narcissus, Borealis Richly Revered (top, from Semi-Precious collection) Borealis, Narcissus Richly Revered (bottom) As I have mentioned in my previous reviews on the Cremesheen Glass, this is perfect for those who don't like too sticky glosses.

If I have to recommend products, I would suggest Endless Night lacquer, Aurora pigment, one or more of the Pro Longwear Lip Cremes, and the Powerpoint Pencils. The Shades Of U Rating: 3.85 out of 5 stars Available North America December 26, 2011 International 2012 at all MAC locations, 1-800-588-0070 and www.maccosmetics.com Note: Media sample was provided by a representative of the brand for consideration. All opinions are completely mine.

It’s dramatic with out being overkill, even on the fairest of skin tones. The Pro Longwear Lipcreme formula is fantastic. These are not the drying type of long wearing lipsticks They almost have a satiny finish and never emphasize chapped, dry lips. They will wear for 6-8 hours without touchups. Feathering is minimal with this lipstick, even with the deep color, although it will wear longer and more evenly when used with a lip liner, or layered over one (I prefer the Pro Longwear Lip Pencils They really are made for one another). Red Dwarf is a really pretty shade and something that you can wear with many different looks, whether it’s a smokey eye or natural eye shadows and winged liner. This is a limited edition color and can be found at any MAC counter, store or online at for $17.

Surprisingly, it doesn’t make me look like a washed out zombie like a great deal of blue/green colors do. I think it stands out a lot more than the other two nail lacquers from this collection and is a nice transition from fall/winter to spring colors. Interior Life Eye Shadow Quad. Swatched indoors on NC15 skin Interior Life Eye Shadow Quad: This little quad has not had the warmest welcome from a great deal of people, which I think is unfair because I really love it! I’ve found myself reaching for this a lot since I got it and I’ve come up with several nice looks with these eye shadows. Some of the shadows feel slightly dry, so they can seem difficult to work with at first, but they aren’t really!

Both blushes are $26. There are four limited edition Pro Longwear Lipsticks ($17).

Azalea Blossom is your classic pink blush. Nail Lacquer: Endless Night Endless Night is one of the best lighter MAC nail lacquers for me, mostly because this reminds me of the one nail polish I actually consumed two bottles of (that was when I was only wearing one shade and I wasn't into nail polish collecting yet). Endless Night reminds me so much of Essie Sand of a Beach (clever name, eh?)- they are both pale grey pink with iridescent pearl. If you look closely in the swatches, you would see the iridescence. Really pretty and looks quite clean on the hands.

First impression was that it seems a little chalky. Then I tried it over a light colored primer. I used Soft Ochre Paint Pot to make it show up accurately on my eyelid and used a 239 brush to pack on the color. If you don’t love it as a lid color, you can always use it to soften and blend other shadows in the palette. Interior Life (satin): The namesake of this quad is a “dark lavender-y grey”. It’s really beautiful on most people. It applies well with a 239 or 217 brush and can be packed on all over the lid or blended into the crease to darken, with a lighter shade like Stratus on the lid, or blended into the crease to soften a darker shade like Heather Belles for a smokey eye.

Seasoned Plum is artificial-grape. Approaching Storm is a rum-raisin, browned, bricky red. Red Dwarf is cool rose. Warp Speed is a sheer white frost. There are also three limited nail polishes ($15). Endless Night (what a funny name for a light-colored polish. It’s not at all like ) is a greyed beige-pink with pearly pink shimmer.

Yeah, im not really interested/impressed by this collection and imagining this whole little bitchy scenario in my head is the only way i can muster up any feelings for it =P lol • • •.

They are also quite sheer, but the darker Cremesheen Glass does lend a bit of color on the lips. These come in doe-foot applicators which don't bother me as much as they used to. Narcissus is my favorite. It reminds me of my top favorite from the Peacocky collection, although Narcissus is more sheer. Narcissus is great to pair with pinks or lilac colored lipsticks.

Check it out below!

My favorite is Painterly Paint Pot from MAC. This is a limited edition Eye Shadow Quad that goes for $38 from any MAC counter, store,. Stratus (matte): “Light Pink” that’s on the cooler side of the spectrum.

It’s rich, super shiny and dark and I only needed two coats. Great thin, even formula with this one. Endless Night Hyperion Blueblood Overall: My favorites in this collection were the Pigments and the Blush Ombre. I liked the Cremesheen Glass in Narcissus as well. The eyeshadow quad once again wasn’t pigmented enough for what I would expect from MAC.

I love the fact that it has mostly satin and matte colors (perfect for the crease to deepen or contour color), but Stratus is a dud. I won't be able to use it. My favorites are Bruised Sky on the crease applied with a 224 brush, and Heather Belles on the crease or socket applied with a 222 brush.

Endless Night swatch, Daphne Guinness for MAC collection My sad little photo does not do this shade justice. In fact, I don’t think any one photo could. You need to get this chameleon of a nail lacquer under many different intensities of light, to see the subtle color change!

This color instantly made me think of. Japanese Spring is a pale, cool, cotton candy pink. Narcissus is a vibrant royal-orchid pink-purple. Richly Revered () is a rum-raisin red-rose-brown. Dying to hear what you think. Any of your who love lipglosses AND defined lips should check out the pale silver Warp Speed lipstick.

I apologize if the lighting and/or quality of some of these images is a little off I have never taken pictures of makeup with this camera and my house has poor lighting. *sadface* I will have a lightbox and tripod very soon though, so that should fix that problem. I do not have all of the products from this collection so I won’t be posting photos of the entire collection.

It only takes two coats to achieve perfect color and coverage. It’s nice and creamy and a great addition to your collection, no matter what your skin tone is. This shade is flattering on everyone! Endless Night: Described as a “Pale grey pink with iridescent pearl”, this nail lacquer is really unique and gorgeous! That said, on me, it emphasizes the cooler tones of my skin, but I don’t think that’s necessarily a bad thing. I’ve actually received a lot of compliments when I’ve worn this! The iridescent pearl is subtle.

I get very minimal chips with these nail lacquers as well as little tip wear. I always top off my nails with Overlacquer, which will maximize the wear time up to 5-7days. These are all limited edition nail lacquers and cost $15 from any MAC counter, store,. Blueblood: “Deep Eggplant” color with fantastic pigmentation.

Anything calling your name?
