Yes, our talented artists have 'cuted up' (scientific term) Minecraft to shockingly adorable new levels. Rosy-cheeked Creepers! Cakes with faces!

I go into.minecraft and its no where to be found in any folders. Other fishy thing is the texture packs are not in a folder at all like they usually are. I even deleted all the game files and started from scatch and nothin.

Though I can't recommend that.

Hello, I am MrMinnesotaGames, and I am an avid gamer, sports enthusiast, and content creator. I started making YouTube videos in 2012, and decided to walk away from my almost 1,000 subscribers and over 100,000 channel video views, and took a big break from Minecraft in 2013. Something just wasn’t right. I have been pressured to return from friends and previous subscribers. I have since returned with a different outlook on the game I once, and finally again, love playing. I have returned to teach others and younger, and or inexperienced players about the game.

In windows, to find your game directory, the path is specified in the Game Directory option field of the Edit Profile menu. Don't edit this setting unless you know you want to move the directory!!!! Usually the default location is something like C: Users Appdata Roming.minecraft If I remember correctly the.minecraft directory on Mac is a hidden file located in you home folder. You'll have to set finder preferences to view hidden files and folders then you should be able to see the.minecraft directory. I'm not 100% sure on this, but look and see. Quote from Macs to that sometimes because they suck. In my opinion Mac storing its files in a hidden directory within Home is no more or less intuitive than it being located in AppData on Windows.

I'm off to look into cuteness surgery. Enjoy the packs!

Different strokes for different folks. Or OSes.whatever.;-) You can always move the directory to someplace that makes more sense to you via the Edit Profile menu, as long as you backup the data in the original directory first. Then you could store your minecraft files in a docs folder, desktop, external hard drive, or even a flash drive.

Quote from Remember: the more you make the average computer user THINK about what they're doing the more likely they are to fail at it. Make things as simple as possible, and people are most likely to get it right. As someone who works in IT. Dear god you are so flipping right. For Vista / 7, go to start and type it in the search box. Type '%appdata%' (without the quotations) and hit enter. This will load up your Application Data. • Double click '.minecraft'. • Double click 'texturepacks'. • Going back to the.zip file you downloaded (the texture pack) drag this into the folder.

There are texture packs available for the Creative version of Minecraft and the Survival version; with Survival having the most packs available. To get started, choose a texture pack you want to install and download it. To install the pack, you must have started Minecraft at least once in either the browser or in the downloadable client. I grab my texture packs from the Official forum. Boot up Minecraft, click on the 'Mods and Texture Packs' section and then click 'Open texture pack folder'. Drop the.zip file from each pack in there and it will appear in the list of textures, ready to launch from the Minecraft menu. There is one complication though, some textures are higher resolution than the original Minecraft, so to use them simply, run it, hit patch and you're set.

• For XP users, go to your start menu, then run. For Vista / 7, go to start and type it in the search box. Type '%appdata%' (without the quotations) and hit enter.

Tired of the bland boring bright look of Minecraft? Want it to be more realistic looking? Perhaps a higher resolution look?

Texture Pack Minecraft Faithful

I literally bought this new laptop yesterday and am running minecraft 1.8 version on windows 8. Any help as soon as possible would be awsome thnx. Quote from I'm wondering if theres any way to download 1.7.10 somewhere and then update to 1.8 afterwards. When I did that before, I was still able to add texture packs to 1.8. It was only after removing all of the mine craft files and just downloading 1.8, like I never had 1.7.10, that the problem started.

It's that simple. As with any OS, load Minecraft, then go to 'Mods and Texture Packs'. Then select the texture pack you just installed. Mac • Find a texture pack you want to install. There's loads on • Load up Finder. • Go to User > Library > Application Support > Minecraft > Texture Packs.

How To Download A Texture Pack For Minecraft

I found the manual way to fix this issue on Mac. The path we've gotten used to is wrong. Instead of the folder being located as '~/Library/Application Support/minecraft' it is actually installed in the Library folder contained in our Home folder as a hidden file. But there still isn't a 'resourcepacks' folder there either, so you will have to create one. Open your Home folder > Cmd+J or Open the menu 'View' then click 'Show View Options' > check the setting 'Show Library Folder' > open Library folder > open Application Support folder > open minecraft folder > create new folder titled 'resourcepacks' without quotes > place packs in folder as normal. (I recommend you then Hide the Library folder again. Fallout new vegas mac download. Just open Home folder again > View Options > uncheck 'Show Library Folder' in View Options.) It seems 1.8 installs per user libraries now instead of with the system Applications.
