I don’t see what is to dislike about this viewer. It’s organized very nicely. It can take a little longer to load the first media type than other viewers, but it’s not that long. Phiewer even has a slick icon and interface. I’m not sure what I think of the name though. With the way the icon looks, Clover might be a good one.

So PhotoX, not only allows you to scroll images with side arrows just like in Windows, but you can zoom in and out with Up & Down Arrows, Rotate, Tilt, Flip image, all of the good stuff using this single app! I simply loved a lot of things on Mac OS X, but this photo scrolling using arrow keys was the first thing I wanted to fix immediately. There are other free apps like Xee, or paid ones with even better options for editing like Adobe Lightroom, but for most basic functionality I thought it’s ridiculous to pay for an app, that does nothing but scrolling through images. So PhotoX is the best Image preview app for me at least. I put an image through its paces with all the bells and whistles, and had no trouble at all. Make sure you follow the installation instructions carefully--they are a little odd. You will probably need to have the original viewer installation CD on hand--I was required to run it for the update to 'take.' I found the needed downloads (the instructions are a layer inside the DiMage Viewer update shown on the URL I'm about to give) and had no trouble at all with stuff from here on out. I have to say that the folks at Minolta USA, despite selling me some products I'm very happy with, have done an abysmal job with their web site. The only reason I can post the following URL is that my Mac guru (who may never own a Minolta product, and who was just helping me search their site for information and relevant stuff) found it after reading more google responses than even I have patience for (and I have a lot).
