Jun 08, 2012  Word 2010 equation editor is difficult to use without shortcuts. However, I can't find the shortcut list in Help files. It routes me to some user forum that is useless. This book is about the Math Builder (officially called as Equation Editor) tool in Microsoft Word and Outlook 2007 and higher. It also applies to Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel 2010 and higher.

Moreover, when I insert equation, sometimes it happens and sometimes doesn't. From what I've gathered this usually occurs if I put subscripts inside the equation or include things like, or other punctuation marks but i am still not sure why this is happening. Thank you very much. Holy bejeesus wow thank you so so so much!! I am so sick and tired of pointing and clicking to make equations look nice. I wish I had discovered these secrets (and trust me they are secrets) a long time ago. I have printed out this list and shared it with facebook because I am a chemistry major and it will come in handy often in my chemistry and physics classes.

After switching to 2013, I have this problem a dozen + times. I've tried everything on the user side to fix it, no solution has worked (including disabling hardware acceleration). The fact that it didn't occur on earlier versions and later occurred in 2013, I figure this is a good place to compare differences.
