Make sure you entered the correct MAC address when generating the exploit. If it doesn't work you could try formatting your SD card (to FAT32) and try again. It doesn't 'arrive'.
Some homebrew might not be compatible as they are hard-coded to read files from the SD card, but USB loaders and emulators should work just fine off USB. Other homebrew will mostly work as well, you'll have to try them to find out. I don't know about CFG Loader, I personally prefer USB Loader GX since it can be set up to look exactly like the home menu. It also works fine with Nintendont. It can be done to an extent, but there are some things you will never undo. If you want to un-mod your Wii because your current mod job is causing problems, find a better tutorial, start over. Is a fabulous wiki about all things modding for your Wii.
