Watch video  Did you know? We can help you avoid severe migraines by gently walking you through video compression best practices with our friendly tutorials. Level 1 - Rhino for Mac. This training follows the Rhino 5 Level 1 training guide on the Mac platform. Lessons cover the Rhino user interface, curve, surfaces, control point editing, and solid modeling.

This course assumes basic familiarity with working in Rhino, and builds off the core skills covered in Up and Running with Rhino for Mac. Chris concentrates on product design, but the lessons are just as valuable for those specializing in jewelry design, architecture, automotive design, or any other CAD-driven industry.

Then we'll prepare prototypes for digital fabrication processes like 3D printing or CNC milling. I'll show you how to light and render beautiful images from right inside of Rhino and we'll create detailed, measured drawings and scaled layouts to give to our fabricator.

Rhino for Mac offers a compelling 3D modeling experience for designers who prefer to work in the Mac environment. Its hybrid solid+surface modeling toolset is powerful yet flexible. Along with a few third-party plugins, Rhino's built-in features make tasks like 3D printing and laser cutting easy and intuitive. Learn everything you need to know to get started designing with Rhino for Mac in this essential training course. Chris Reilly covers basic interface navigation, 3D modeling, parametric modeling with Grasshopper, and rendering.

Known issue — 'Unknown Command' (Windows) In some cases, Rhino will not recognize the new commands provided by RhinoGears, even though the plugin is installed correctly. This happens because Rhino failed to load the Python scripting environment automatically. This is a confirmed bug in Rhino for Windows (described ). To work around this issue, enter the command `EditPythonScript` and close the window that pops up. The plugin commands should now work. Word for mac 2017 print multiple pages per shet. General hints • Gears that mesh correctly have the same module and the same pressure angle. In addition, their pitch circles should be tangential to one another. • The module of a gear determines its overall size.

Standard values are 14.5, 20 and 25 degrees.

Learn more: Throughout these lessons we create a production ready 3D model of a pair of sunglasses. We'll discuss a few basic fit parameters and associated reference geometry to create a schematic model to establish the desired frame fit. Then we'll evolve the fit model into a more stylish, sophisticated production model created with advanced control point manipulation editing techniques.

Kyle Houchens of The Outside Digital Design will show you how to model sunglasses using Rhino for Windows. In this fast moving and informative session, he will create a pair of sunglasses using advanced surfacing methods. He will analyze, render, and prepare the model for fabrication. Rhino tips and tricks will be covered throughout the presentation.

The session is being recorded and the video will be posted by December 12th.

In this course, we'll explore the switch from Rhino for windows to Rhino for Mac, the basics of the Rhino interface, fundamental modeling concepts as well as lighting and rendering. I'll start by showing you how Rhino's geometry stacks onto itself, creating complex forms from simple inputs, like curves and points. Then we'll look at making solid objects that could be used for 3D printing or even CNC milling. We'll be covering all of these techniques plus plenty of other tools and features, and before you know it, you'll be a 3D modeling wizard, so let's get started with Up and Running with Rhino 5 for Mac. • Practice while you learn with exercise files. 3D Printing the Rhino Model Kyle Houchens, owner of shows how to prepare your Rhino model for 3D printing. He looks in detail at what it means for a model to be watertight and repairs numerous problems on his model that could potentially keep a part from successfully being 3D printed or rapid prototyped.

We'll begin by exploring our design constraints, then manually modeling a prototype instrument. We'll look at using the grasshopper plugin to make a parametric version of our design that we can easily change or update. Then we'll prepare prototypes for digital fabrication processes like 3D printing or CNC milling. I'll show you how to light and render beautiful images from right inside of Rhino and we'll create detailed, measured drawings and scaled layouts to give to our fabricator.
