Jan 24, 2010  Last night I put it to sleep and unplugged it before leaving work. This morning it was at 73% charge -- it lost 27% in just 14 hours. It's not waking up, I've checked the console log.

The battery drain level you have now may be the new normal. Since all parts on them are now active, the drain rate would change and end up less than what we had before.

Mode

It took a few minutes of charging in the dock before it could wake up in TV mode, but resumed where I had left off, which was slightly after my most recent save. Looking at the slider, we’d estimate the default brightness is about 70 percent, and it’s more than adequate under normal circumstances. You could easily take it down a notch or two to increase battery life, and disable wi-fi. We also tested Switch’s standby mode when it’s outside the dock, which wakes as soon as you hit a button as fast as my iPhone 6. Leaving Switch in sleep mode for 12 hours, it only drained 1% of the battery. It will last even longer with a full shutdown, but that’s not really necessary between the commute to and from work with such minimal standby usage. Switch then takes in sleep mode, about 3 hours and 10 minutes to be precise — almost identical to the Zelda playtime in handheld mode.

This with all the same iOS, settings, Apps, Charger etc as the previous iPad. To try and improve this I performed the following actions: Closed all apps (double click sweep off the screen) Disabled iCloud keychain Disabled background app refresh Disabled location services Set Allow Notifications to OFF Disabled auto-brightness and set it to low Airplane mode to disable WiFi and Mobile data I then performed a hard reset / switch off and gave it a f ull uninterrupted charge using iPad charger for 12+ hours.I t urned on iPad at 2pm disconnected charger (100%) and put it into sleep mode with the sleep button.

My G4 iBook lasts *weeks* in sleep mode. Last night I put it to sleep and unplugged it before leaving work. This morning it was at 73% charge -- it lost 27% in just 14 hours. No, that is not normal. 1% per hour is about right for normal sleep, but newer Mac portables like yours have a low power sleep mode called stand by mode that kicks in after three hours. Once in standby mode your Mac will last up to 30 days on battery power. In theory it should only last about 30 minutes by my perhaps misguided calculation of 10 (hrs on the old iPad) x 60 (to get minutes) and divide by 21 (the differential between sleep mode, old to new).

My tests were from fully charged (using the Apple supplied iPad charger) to the iPad auto-shutdown. Please note the following paragraph: I then performed a hard reset / switch off and gave it a f ull uninterrupted charge using iPad charger for 12+ hours.I t urned on iPad at 2pm disconnected charger (100%) and put it into sleep mode with the sleep button. T he battery lasted until 3:45pm the next day (25.75 hours) When I checked at 3:45pm, the iPad had shut down and would not restart, 25.75 hours after it was fully charged.

The battery issue is a tough one. It depends on what apps are trying to use the battery. Even when sleeping and all radios off, it may drain 5-10% per hour. On my TF101, the battery drains QUICKER with the tablet off than when it is sleeping. I get 3-5% battery drain per hour in sleep. Win 8 - Not possible.

So far as I know it has not been successfully ported over. I have just spent 30 minutes trying to find an answer to this without success. I am trying to find out how long the battery should last after being fully charged and the tablet NOT being used ('sleep' mode?) and with WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS turned OFF. Or about what percentage (%) of battery charge should be normally used every 24 hours when the tablet is NOT being used ('sleep' mode?).

Best freeware for mac. What say you, Mac Achaians? What Mac portables do you have, and how long do they last asleep?

• The inactivity time: The inactivity time defines how long your computer waits before putting itself into Sleep mode. This time can be as short as one minute or as long as three hours. • The parts of your computer to put into Sleep mode: The two main parts of your computer that you can put into Sleep mode are the hard drive and the display (your computer screen). Because the hard drive and the display consume the most power, putting at least one or both of these parts into Sleep mode can dramatically reduce the amount of power your Mac consumes while it’s asleep.

I am not one of those who moan about battery life on Apple mobile products in general, I am a pragmatist and know that battery technology is not keeping pace with the demands of technology so keep a juice-pack in my briefcase for those occasions where the iPhone will not last the day. However, an iPad should be able to outlast 1 day on sleep mode so I am with you that there appears to be an issue with this battery. I used to charge the old on once a week or less. Looks like another visit to Regents Street. Watch this space!

Do NOT use a computer's USB port. Then, operate it normally until auto shut-down (ignore any low level alerts that may appear). An irony is that doing that test to determine the total operating time is also the procedure necessary to calibrate the battery level meter.

Specific, specific it is, and according to risk the frayed twine, once you used it in the previous it died, shorted the interior battery out. And makes it so it would not artwork in any respect, i'm a living house windows person, yet a working laptop or pc is a working laptop or pc.

Cell phone charger, audio amp, radar? There shouldn't be. Stock stereo system, I have a bluetooth adapter hooked up to the aux input but I rewired the power outlet in the passenger footwell to only turn on when the key is in so it is not drawing any current.

Also, try and NOT let the iPad's battery drain all the way all of the time. I let my iPad 3 drain down completely only 2-3 times a month. It's not good for the battery to always being constantly discharged.
