Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would love to pick your brain on this. I have a recently purchased Insipron 1545 that I would like to dual boot Snow Leopard on. I have the Snow Leopard retail DVD and have tried both the Boot-132 and the Lifehacker thumb drive method to no avail. I get the 'Still Waiting for Root Device' issue. Is there any changes that I should be making to the BIOS (different from default), I thought it looked fine but I have to admit to being a hackintosh novice.

I saw a successful tutorial online for this exact model of computer, but it uses a CD installation, so it's not applicable to my exact situation. I'll update this post to include any details people need.
I also have an Apple mouse plugged in the righthand USB socket. Now my current boot args are (in order): dart=0 nv_disable=1 -v -x -ForceRTC npci=0x2000. Just to show me up, it of course is ignoring the -ForceRTC argument and hanging with last 6 lines as follows: pci (build 16:31:57 Apr 14 2017), flaxs 0xe3000, pfm64 (36 cpu) 0xf80000000, 0x80000000 [ PCI configuration being ] console relocation to 0xf80000000 [ PCI configuration end, bridges 6, devices 17 ] RTC: Only single RAM bank (128 bytes) (solid block cursor, non-flashing) I don't know what to do next. Each time it seems to fail/hang, with the exact point depending on the options chosen. I know I'll probably have to do more than just the boot options, but I do not have enough experience to be able to adapt the guides for the Inspiron 1525 to my own purposes. So I need someone to tell me what to do!

I installed Chameleon RC3, with its boot file, and edited themes to my liking. I installed PS2 drivers from the boot disc to get the keyboard and trackpad to work. I also edited smbios.plist and com.apple.boot.plist to work on my system. Resoultion (1366x768x32) doesn't work. After that, no need for boot disc. Hope this helped/helps.
